This guide covers connecting your GloriaFood shop to MERGEPORT and verifying that orders reach your POS.

Preparation

Finish configuring your menu, payment methods, delivery and pickup options in GloriaFood. You need access to the GloriaFood dashboard and the corresponding restaurant in the MERGEPORT Controller.

Have the MERGEPORT Restaurant ID ready. Enter this restaurant ID in GloriaFood's Restaurant Token field. The two Restaurant Keys, by contrast, are generated in GloriaFood and then entered in MERGEPORT.

Step 1: Open Integrations in GloriaFood

In GloriaFood, open Online Orders → Integrations → Your integrations.

Select Add integration → Custom integration.

Step 2: Configure the Accepted Orders API

  1. Select Accepted Orders API, JSON and Version 2.
  2. Enter the complete endpoint https://ordering.mergeport.com/v4/hooks/gloriafood/orders.
  3. Generate and copy this integration's Restaurant Key. You will later use it as Restaurant Key Accepted Orders API.
  4. In Restaurant Token, enter the MERGEPORT Restaurant ID of the restaurant you are connecting.
  5. Select the order types and status options as shown in the example and enter support@mergeport.com as the API provider contact email.
  6. Save the integration.

The endpoint is only partially visible in the screenshot. Use the full address in step 2. Keys and the token have been removed from the example. Restaurant Key and Restaurant Token are different values. The German interface labels them “Restaurantschlüssel” and “Restauranttoken”.

Step 3: Configure the Fetch Menu API

Create a second integration through Add integration → Custom integration, using Fetch Menu API as the API type. Generate and copy its own Restaurant Key, then save the integration.

MERGEPORT uses this key to import GloriaFood items for item mapping. This does not imply automatic transfer of POS menu changes to GloriaFood.

Step 4: Activate GloriaFood in the MERGEPORT Controller

  1. Open the MERGEPORT Controller and select the correct restaurant.
  2. Under Connected Platforms, click + and select GloriaFood.
  3. In Restaurant Key Accepted Orders API, enter the key from step 2.
  4. In Restaurant Key Fetch Menu API, enter the key from step 3.
  5. Agree the item mapping method with your POS provider and complete the activation dialog using Continue (“Weiter” in the screenshot).

The item mapping selection in the screenshot is an example. If MERGEPORT handles your mapping, configure it to match the agreed workflow. The example interfaces are in German.

Step 5: Map Items and Test the Connection

If you use MERGEPORT item mapping, import your GloriaFood items in the Controller and assign the corresponding POS item IDs or PLU codes. See the related article Item Mapping for Online Orders for guidance.

  1. Place a test order in your GloriaFood shop.
  2. Ensure that the order has been accepted in GloriaFood. MERGEPORT processes orders with the status accepted through this flow.
  3. Check that the order appears in the MERGEPORT Controller.
  4. Then check that it reaches the POS and that its items are mapped correctly.

Troubleshooting and Support

If an order is missing, check the full endpoint, the placement of both Restaurant Keys, the Restaurant ID in Restaurant Token, and whether the order was accepted in GloriaFood. Also check the POS connection in the Controller.
