Once your POS integration with Uber Eats is activated, the Uber Eats Menu Maker in your Merchant Dashboard is typically disabled automatically.

From that point forward, Uber Eats expects all menu updates to be managed and sent through the POS Menu Sync instead of the Menu Maker interface.

Why is the Menu Maker disabled?

As soon as a POS integration is active, Uber Eats and MERGEPORT treat the POS system as the "Source of Truth" for all menu and article data.

This means that the following details must come directly from your POS:

  • Menu items and categories
  • Prices
  • Variants and options
  • Availability

To prevent manual edits in the dashboard from conflicting with or being overwritten by automatic menu syncs from your POS, Uber Eats automatically blocks edits in the Menu Maker.

Can Menu Maker be reactivated?

Yes. Reactivation is possible. You can request this in one of two ways:

  1. Contact Uber Eats Support directly through your Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Contact MERGEPORT Support, and we will submit the reactivation request on your behalf.

Once reactivated, you can temporarily modify your menu through Menu Maker again.

When does reactivation make sense?

Re-enabling the Menu Maker is useful if:

  • Your POS system does not support a full menu and price synchronization.
  • You need to make immediate menu adjustments before POS updates are ready or synchronized.
  • You want to fix or test specific menu structures manually on Uber Eats.
