Requirements & Installation
Supported Devices
- SUNMI V2s Plus (recommended, features an integrated receipt printer)
- Android tablets (Android 8+ recommended) connected to external printers, such as the MHT P80A Bluetooth printer
- Standard Bluetooth ESC/POS printers and USB/cable printers (compatibility is device-dependent)
Download & Installation
SUNMI Devices
- Open the SUNMI App Store on your device.
- Search for “Mergeport Controller”.
- Install the app.
Standard Android Devices
- The APK is currently not available in the Google Play Store.
- Request the APK by contacting support@mergeport.com.
- Install the application via sideloading on your Android device.
Setup Steps
1. Install the App
Install the Mergeport Controller app on your Android or SUNMI tablet.
2. Log In or Register
Log in with an existing Mergeport account, or register a new account if you do not have one.
Setup for Onboarding Partners
If you are onboarding restaurants as a sales partner:
- Create a new user in the user management panel.
- Set the role to “Restaurant”.
- Set permissions to “Read Only”.
- Assign the user to the corresponding Mergeport restaurant to grant access.
Enable Tablet Mode
Enable Tablet Mode if you want to manually accept orders in the Controller and select delivery or preparation times before forwarding them to the POS. This setting changes the order workflow. Agree on that workflow with the responsible staff before using it. See the related Tablet Mode article for details.
3. Configure the Restaurant
Create a new restaurant profile in Mergeport or link your device to an existing restaurant.
4. Connect Platforms
Activate and connect your online ordering channels (e.g., Wolt, Uber Eats, Lieferando, Foodora) in the Controller settings.
Important Notes
- The Android app is optimized for continuous always-on operation in a restaurant environment.
- Printing features are available exclusively on the Android/SUNMI app (not via the web browser interface).
- For the best operational performance, we recommend using a dedicated device with an integrated printer (e.g., SUNMI).
