Common causes and how to check them
If your Wolt orders are not appearing correctly in the POS, the following steps may help. Please note: many aspects are outside of our direct control – Wolt manages the technical delivery of orders.
1. Check the connection in the MERGEPORT Controller
- Open controller.mergeport.com
- Select the restaurant and go to “Configuration”
- Under the connected platforms, check whether Wolt is shown as “Online”. This confirms the account link, not the complete order flow to the POS. → If not, please re-establish the connection (login via Wolt account or link).

2. Restaurant login / Wolt account
The integration is based on an OAuth login with the operator’s Wolt account.
- Verify that the correct account is logged in.
- If the operator has logged out or changed the password, the connection must be renewed in the MERGEPORT Controller.
3. Menu & item mapping
The required item mapping depends on your POS system and the agreed matching method.
- If your POS requires Wolt-side POS item IDs, check them in the Wolt Merchant Dashboard.
- If you map through MERGEPORT, check the links in the Controller. Update mappings if IDs have changed after a menu update.
- Confirm with your POS provider whether alternative matching or handling of unknown items is supported. See the related item-mapping article for further steps.
4. Align the Wolt tablet and order workflow
Decide whether orders should go directly to the POS or whether the Wolt tablet remains part of the workflow. Settings must match in MERGEPORT and Wolt.
- The direct order workflow uses the “Without Tablet” option. Confirm with your POS provider that the POS supports the intended status flow.
- If you keep using the Wolt tablet, “iPadLess” and “Auto Accept” must be disabled in both systems. Coordinate any required Wolt-side changes with Wolt Support.
- Remove or disable the Wolt tablet only after the tablet-free workflow is fully configured and a first order has been checked successfully through to the POS.
These Wolt settings are separate from Tablet Mode in the MERGEPORT Controller, which controls manual acceptance within MERGEPORT.
5. Integration activation / approval by Wolt
Even if Wolt appears as “Online” in the MERGEPORT Controller, Wolt-side approval or configuration steps may still be outstanding.
- Check whether Wolt has confirmed the POS integration for the intended order workflow. Contact Wolt Support for outstanding approvals or routing settings.
- After setup, check a first order to verify that it appears in the Controller and that the POS receives and processes it correctly.
